Voyage à Londres : La parole aux élèves

Du 26 au 29 mai, les élèves de la section européenne des niveaux 4e et 3e ont eu l'opportunité de partir découvrir la capitale de Londres et d'être logés dans des familles britanniques le soir venu. Voici une petite sélection de leurs témoignages, ainsi que quelques photos souvenirs. Merci à tous les élèves pour leur enthousiasme et leur bonne volonté, malgré la pluie et les sandwichs !

Lou-Anne : "Last week, we went on a school trip to London, and it was one of the best experience ever ! We did so many things, saw famous places... Let me tell you everything !

Day 1 –

When we arrived in London, we took the Tube (the London metro). It was super clean and modern ,way better than in Paris ! The stations were nice, but it was loud and small.
Then we went to lunch near Borough Market, a famous food market.We ate at a really nice fish and chips restaurant. The fish was crispy, the fries were perfect, and the dessert ? SO GOOD !
In the afternoon, we visited the Tate Modern, a huge modern art museum. The building is massive and weird looking. Some art pieces were cool, but others were… kinda weird or hard to understand. We didn't visit the whole museum because it got a bit boring for some of us.
Outside, the weather was awful :rain, wind, grey skie… classic London weather . But we still walked to the Tower Bridge. It was amazing ! It looked exactly like in the photos :big and beautiful. We even walked across it and took pictures.
In the evening, we took public transport to Welling, where our host families live. They welcomed us and made us feel at home.

Day 2-

We woke up early and went to the Natural History Museum. It was huge and super interesting. We saw a giant dinosaur skeleton in the entrance, amazing gems and crystals, an earthquake simulator, and even a section about volcanoes and space
Since it was raining (again !), we had lunch under a big tree in a nice park in Albertopolis, near the museum. The place was green and peaceful even with the rain(but it was sooo cold).
Next, we went to Camden Town, a super cool and artistic neighborhood.There were tons of shops with decorations, colorful buildings, and street food everywhere. We had a challenge : talk to Londoners, ask them questions in English and try to get as many answers as possible.Some of us were really shy but we did it, and the winners got little prizes !
After that, we took the Tube again to go to the National Gallery at Trafalgar Square. It was amazing ! We saw real paintings by Claude Monet, van Gogh, and other famous artists. My favorite were the monet's paintings. There was also a little shop where we bought postcards and other stuff.
In the evening, we returned to Welling and had dinner with our host families.

Day 3 –

This day was just perfect ! We started with Westminster where we saw Big Ben (finally !). It's HUGE and really beautiful in real life. We also saw the Houses of Parliament .
Then we walked to St James's Park, one of the most beautiful parks I've ever seen. There were squirrels running everywhere, ducks and geese, and even some willows (my favorite trees !)
Next stop : Buckingham Palace.We saw the guards in their red uniforms and big black hats. They were so serious and still so it was funny to watch
Then… best moment ever : we got to ride a red double-decker bus ! We sat at the top, of course, and enjoyed the view of the city.
In the afternoon, we went to the London Transport Museum, where we saw all kinds of old trains, buses, and taxis. It was more fun than I expected
After that, we walked to Covent Garden, a super cool area with street performers, cute shops, and cafes. We had another challenge : take a funny picture of food and create a little story with it. It was fun.

Day 4-
The last day was a bit sad because we had to say goodbye to our host families. We also had to carry our HUGE bags all day.
We visited the Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, it's a reconstruction of the original Elizabethan theatre. We had a guide who told us about how plays were performed in Shakespeare's time. We also had a work from our teachers with questions to answer, so we learned a lot.
Then we went to Piccadilly Circus, which was super crowded.We did some final shopping and bought snacks for the train.
Finally, we went to Saint Pancras Station and took the Eurostar to France. We were tired but we had fun in the train.

In Conclusion this trip was unforgettable. We discovered a lot of things, practiced our English, and had so much fun with our friends.I'll never forget it and thank you to all the teachers who organized everything !"

Faith : "I had a great experience in London and the memories I had are something to keep in my heart and my mind that are best to keep and to remember when i heard the word “London”. I'm gonna ask you this question, what do you have in your mind when you hear the word “London”, because the first time I knew that we were going to have the trip with our teachers and classmates, I was really excited that I kept planning many things in my head, on what to wear, on what to bring, on what to pack […]

when we arrived in London, I was really stunned by how many people are there to visit this country, how clean the metro is and when we went out, I was really amazed by the view and the whole place, it was all remarkable that everything that you see is captivating that you must take pictures all the time. […]

Our second day, when we woke up to eat delicious breakfast and we got ready that fast because we have a time to follow of every morning to meet our teachers again near the metro station. We saw our classmates again and our teachers, and we asked each other's night and all of us had really a great time with our family hosts and houses that we stayed for. We went to the Natural Museum and we discovered a lot of things, we took many pictures as we can and checked many souvenirs in the store. After this, we went to ate the packed lunches that our family gave us, we went to the Hyde Park but the problem was it was raining heavily but at least we survived this day. We went to Camden Town, it was really a cool market, you can explore many things, buy many souvenirs as much as you can, eat and drink many foods that you want to try of, and we also had a challenge to talk to Londoners and we had to do an interview with them, it was really great because we got to know more about London and the Camden Town and I think it helped us to communicate more with people in English and to learn new words or maybe to even study the accent they had […]

The next day, as usual, we did the same thing but I think this day was the best out of all because the sun was shining and it was up, I've heard that London is rarely hot and it's impossible to see the sun out all the time but all day, the sun was there that's why it was really a great day to walk and to discover new places, we saw many great monuments and statues like the “Women of World War 2”, we saw the Big Ben and that was the most shocking part because as we all know it is also known for this, the big clock tower and it was really huge and pleasant to the eyes to look up to, they were many people and we saw many double decker buses, there are many tourists that are walking and taking pictures at this place, we saw many cool houses that are near the Big ben, we also saw the Westminster Abbey and when I tell you, all of us took photos immediately and we were shocked about how the structure of the building looks like up close, then we also went to the park near there to take a break, it was so amazing because we saw a lot of animals like the ducks, the swans, squirrels and etc… […]

The last day, we got up early and we ate our breakfast then we got ready before getting in the car. It was tiring again because we had to walk with our heavy bags but it was still fun, we went to Shakespeare's globe theatre, the guide was so kind and he explained every details and story that we needed to know about Shakespeare, he showed us everything and we also checked the souvenir shop after, then we had a free time to buy what we want and to check the place we went to, for me, this day marks as the day that I realized that someday i would go back there with the people I loved so I can show them how good was the London is, I want to go back and to explore more, to meet people more and to have the same incredible experience I had, we made a bond with the teachers and with the other students, and I think that was also one of the best part, talking and spending time with people while having a trip on the country, I would never forget everything that I saw, learned, experienced and felt when we were in London, London has my heart now and I want to go back in the future when the time comes."

Ibrahima : "2 weeks ago, we had the amazing opportunity to visit London with our class. During our stay, we explored some of the city's most iconic landmarks and cultural sites.

We started our adventure at the Tate Modern, where we discovered impressive contemporary artworks. We then walked across the famous Tower Bridge and wandered through the vibrant streets of Camden Town, full of unique shops and food stalls. A relaxing stroll through Hyde Park was a perfect way to enjoy some fresh air in the heart of the city.

Our museum visits were a highlight : we explored the Natural History Museum, the fascinating London Transport Museum, and the world-famous British Museum with its incredible historical collections. We also visited Shakespeare's Globe, where we learned more about the world of theatre in the time of the Bard.

We admired the grandeur of Westminster, saw Big Ben, and even caught a glimpse of Buckingham Palace. A stop at Covent Garden allowed us to enjoy street performances and the lively atmosphere.

Another great part of our trip was staying with our host families. They were incredibly kind and welcoming, and they really made us feel at home. Sharing meals and chatting with them helped us improve our English and learn more about British culture.

This unforgettable trip was a mix of learning, discovery, and fun—we made great memories and came back with lots of stories to tell !"

Du 11 au 14 avril 2023 les élèves de 4e et 3e de la section européenne ont visité Amsterdam aux Pays-Bas.
Au programme du séjour :
- Expériences ludiques et scientifiques au musée NEMO
- Marché aux fleurs et parc floral Keukenhof avec les tulipes en fleurs
- Village typique de Zaanse Schans
- Visite du quartier juif et de la Maison d'Anne Franck
- Musée du street art
- Balade sur les canaux
- Musée Van Gogh

Grâce au projet de classe "Sur les traces de Darwin", les élèves de 6è4 ont participé à un périple de 2 jours à Londres.
Lundi 17 et mardi 18 juin 2019, ils ont découvert les différents quartiers de Londres, mais surtout le Muséum d'histoire naturelle et le British Museum avec leurs professeurs.

Les élèves de la section Européenne Anglais se rendront à Londres pour un voyage culturel du mardi 14 au vendredi 17 Mai 2019.

Ils préparent le voyage en classe avec leur professeur d'anglais et doivent rédiger un carnet de voyage.

Des nouvelles du séjour au ski 2019

Après un voyage en train qui s'est bien déroulé, les élèves ont découvert le centre UCPA de La Plagne 1800. La neige est au rendez-vous, elle tombe depuis le midi.

Lundi 14 janvier : première journée sous les flocons, mais les sensations reviennent pour les élèves débrouillés. Les débutants découvrent les joies de la glisse avec un moniteur de l'UCPA.

Mardi 15 janvier : un grand soleil et une neige fantastique. Les élèves profitent d'un très bel enneigement et des panoramas exceptionnels. Ils ont tous pu admirer le Mont Blanc côté italien.

Mercredi 16 janvier : encore une très belle journée ensoleillée. Les progrès des élèves sont impressionnants !

Jeudi 17 janvier : la journée a été riche en émotions et en flocons ! Certains élèves ont reçu leur médaille.

Vendredi 18 janvier : c'est l'heure des dernières descentes. Le temps est neigeux et froid. Les valises sont prêtes pour le retour à Levallois.

Très beaux succès pour les élèves de Mme Germain, qui clôturent cette année par un voyage de deux jours au Futuroscope.

Des nouvelles du séjour au ski 2018

Le trajet en train s'est bien passé. Tous les élèves se sont installés dans leur chambre hier et ont découvert le site d'hébergement et de restauration.

Lundi 22 janvier : premiers instants sur les skis et sous les flocons. Les élèves sont ravis !

Mardi 23 janvier : une belle journée, le soleil brille, brille, brille ! Les élèves profitent de la très bonne neige et progressent déjà.
La soirée animée "juste dance" a fait bien des émules.

Mercredi 24 janvier : matinée de repos pour la majorité des élèves, seuls les plus motivés ont skié. Journée très ensoleillée, nous en avons bien profité.

Jeudi 25 janvier : encore une belle journée de ski ! Les progrès sont confirmés. Plusieurs élèves ont d'ailleurs obtenus leur première étoile. Le groupe attend maintenant avec impatience la soirée dansante.

Vendredi 26 janvier : dernière matinée de ski. Les élèves ont profité une dernière fois du paysage montagnard. Le matériel est rendu, le ménage est fait dans les chambres, les valises sont bouclées, la tête pleine de beaux souvenirs, nous attendons le départ.

Les classes de 5è au ski en 2018

Les 4 classes de 5è du collège partiront cette année au ski entre le lundi 22 janvier et le vendredi 26 janvier 2018.

Le séjour se fera au centre UCPA La Plagne 1800.

Les élèves, encadrés par des moniteurs de l'UCPA et les professeurs d'EPS, profiteront du bon enneigement de cette année.

Les cours du soir seront assurés par les collègues de français, anglais, sciences et éducation musicale.
